Made In Early Imperial Rome During The First Half Of The 1St Century A.D., These Joining Acroteria—Pedestals That Support A Statue Or Other Type Of Ornamentation—Once Decorated The Corner Of A Roof Or High Balustrade. They Were Positioned At Right Angles To Each Other So That The Leaves Would Emanate From A Central Stalk Where Their Ends Meet.
